Adam Cohon

Adam Cohon is a graduate student in political science at UC Berkeley, and currently serves as the Assistant Editor for Business and Politics. Prior to Berkeley, he served as an antitrust paralegal in the legal department of Verizon Communications. Adam received an A.B. in Government from Harvard in 2003, and an M.A. from UC Berkeley in 2006. He is interested in the political economy of Latin America, specifically issues of bureaucratic delegation and policymaking, the politics of economic reforms, and institutional evolution. His current projects concern the politics of currency crises and of bureaucratic reform in Argentina and Brazil. In his free time, he enjoys running the hills and trails of Berkeley.

Kristi Govella

Kristi Govella is the East Asia Project Director at BASC and a Ph.D. student in the Department of Political Science at UC Berkeley. Her research currently focuses on comparative politics and international relations in East Asia, particularly Japanese political economy and East Asian regional institutional architecture.

Prior to coming Berkeley, Kristi taught English in Niigata, Japan as part of the JET Programme. She received a double B.A. in Political Science and Japanese, Cum Laude with College Honors, from the University of Washington, Seattle, and holds an M.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley. She has also worked with the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
